Galapagos

The Galapagos Islands conjure up images of times gone by when ships crossed the oceans with the wind in their sails and pirates ruled the seas.

The islands were discovered in 1535 by Father Tomas Berlanga, and later visited by an intrigued Charles Darwin in 1835.  Roamed by giant tortoises, marine iguanas, sea lions and a myriad of birds, the Galapagos National Park which covers 97% of the islands was declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1979.

To visit these ancient lands with their unique wildlife and eco-systems is indeed a special experience and to take this adventure on a luxury cruise exploring the islands by day and relaxing on the sea by night is a must on everyone’s bucket list.
