Tanzania

Tanzania is a land of spectacular beauty and one of the largest countries in Africa. Tanzania is the only country in the world to allocate twenty five percent of its total area to wildlife national parks, game reserves and protected areas.  The Selous Game Reserve is the largest single wildlife area in Africa.  All of which support a fascinating and varied selection of plant, animal and bird species.

Tanzania is home to the Serengetti National Park, with its vast open plains, kopjes and rivers.  This is also the oldest and most famous park in Tanzania.  On the Northern circuit we visit Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater (a world heritage site), Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti and the Grumeti Reserve in the Western corridor.

The south of Tanzania is home to some of Africa’s most pristine wildlife wilderness areas.  Vast tracts of land remain unexplored and unexploited, including the Selous Game Reserve, an area of approximately 50,000 sq. kms.
